Having said that Studies have found that planning will reduce project budgets by an average of 20% and duration by almost 40%………..Wow

Motivation: There are two great motivation in life….. Pain and pleasure.  And we work harder for pain

Internal dictionary: I have amended my internal dictionary to substitute  – money to  value, Sell to Help and problems/challenges and change as opportunities for the next 72 hours and observe the difference in my attitude.

Triggers: I was on autopilot until I sat down to LIST,  what  makes me happy, what motivates me, inspires me, makes me sad, upsets me.  And once you know your triggers you can program your triggers for happiness, motivation and inspiration for the day, for the week and for the month.

Butterfly effect: The butterfly effect “a chaos theory” says a small change at one place in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere. Similarly a small act of kindness will have a profound effect in your future. Why not commit yourself to small acts of kindness every day and you can expect a hurricane of positive effects in your future.

Space for little Things: “Happiness is creating SPACE for the little things in our life” ……… A morning walk on the beach, sipping masala tea early morning, calling up your parents to say I love you, reading your favorite book, listening to your favorite song, special meal with your family, a hug to your kids, gifting chocolate to your loved ones, going out with your friends to watch first day first show movie release………….
Recipe for Happiness: A recent British study boiled down the HAPPINESS recipe to six and half hours of sleep, a 20 minute commute, 5 home cooked meals a week, a night out with friends or loved ones and regular exercise. Our brain has Mirror Neurons that mirror what our eyes see & observe. If you want to be happy surround yourself with happy people, activities, literature and things. If you want to be inspired surround yourself with successful people.”

Replace your Thoughts: Over 60,000 thoughts cross our mind in a day wherein 90% are repeat thoughts, 9% are new negative thoughts and only 1% are creative and positive thoughts. For the next 48 hours write down those 9% negative thoughts and analyze them. How many of them are just thoughts? Change them. And how many are facts? Correct them.
Sell yourself to you: “Toughest thing in life is… selling yourself to yourself – its conquering that hidden voice that says..U R too young, 2 inexperienced, 2 old, what if I look stupid, what if audience don’t like it. The hidden voice is ur enemy # 1.”
Action : For the next 30 minutes write down your fear and shoot them down 1 after the other.

Decisions: A young MBA graduate was given the opportunity to interview a very successful businessman. The MBA graduate asked him, “Sir, What is the secret of your success?”

“Two words, young man.”
“And, Sir, what are they?”
“Right decisions.”
“But how do you make right decisions?”
“One word.” he responded.

Gratitude: Action Plan:
1. Make as list of all important groups of people in your life ( friends, family, direct reports, customers etc )
2. Write down the names of every important person in every group.
3. Twice a week review the list of names and ask yourself “Did someone on this page do something that I should recognize?”
4. If the answer is “YES”, quickly recognize them either by phone, e-mail, voice mail or a note.
